Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your Muslim Now account and the data associated with it. You can delete your account directly inside the app, or by email.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (instant)

Open the Muslim Now app.
Go to Settings → Profile.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm. Your account and all synced cloud data are permanently deleted right away.

Option 2 — Request by email

Send an email to [email protected] from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will permanently delete your account and its associated cloud data within 30 days of receiving the request.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our cloud (Firebase / Cloud Firestore):

Your display name, email address and sign-in provider
Prayer log and prayer streak history
Quran bookmarks, notes and last-read position
Khatam (Quran completion) progress
Dua favourites and tasbeeh counts
Synced app settings and preferences
Your Prayer Circle entry, if you were in one — your circle name, the prayer marks shared with that circle and the notification token used for nudges

You can also leave a Prayer Circle on its own, without deleting your account: leaving the circle removes your entry from it immediately.

What data is kept

Nothing is retained in our cloud after deletion. Any data stored only on your device (local app data) is not on our servers — it stays on your device and is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. System backups may persist for up to 30 days before being fully purged, after which no copy remains.

Note

Signing out of the app only ends your session — it does not delete your cloud data. Use one of the options above to fully delete your account.
