Muslim Now is free to download and use. By installing and using the app you agree to these terms. The app is provided for personal worship and study.

Prayer times and Qibla — always verify

Prayer times are calculated from your location using the calculation method you select, and the Qibla direction comes from your device's compass sensors. Both depend on your settings, GPS accuracy, magnetic interference, and your device's clock and time zone. Follow your local mosque or community for the final word: the app is a helper, not a religious authority.

Quran and religious content

Quran text, translations and recitations come from established sources (the King Fahd Complex mushaf text, and Quran.com / Al-Quran Cloud translations and licensed reciters). Duas, adhkar, hadith and the 99 Names are provided for remembrance and learning and are not a substitute for scholarly guidance.

Imam AI answers are generated by an AI model and can be wrong. Verify anything that matters with a qualified scholar.

App Block and the accessibility permission

App Block is optional and off until you enable it. It pauses apps you choose for the length of a prayer window and releases them when you mark the prayer as prayed. It uses Android's AccessibilityService API for one purpose only — detecting which app has come to the foreground while a block window is active. The service cannot read your screen content and collects nothing. You can turn it off at any time in the app or in your device's accessibility settings.

App Block is a convenience feature. It cannot guarantee that every app on every device will be paused — for example, an app already in the foreground when a window opens, or a picture-in-picture window owned by the system, may keep running.

MuslimNow PRO subscription

PRO is an auto-renewing subscription. It begins with a 7-day free trial and then renews at the end of each period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before that period ends. Prices are shown in your own currency inside the app before you buy and vary by country.

All billing is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store, depending on where you installed the app; payment is charged to that account. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings — we cannot cancel or refund it for you, and refunds follow the store's own rules. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Features that an installation was already using before the PRO tier existed remain available on that installation permanently.

Your account

An account is optional; every feature works without one. If you create one, keep your sign-in details safe — you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete the account and its cloud data at any time from Settings → Profile → Delete Account in the app, or at muslimnow.app/delete-account.

Prayer Circle

Prayer Circle is optional. If you join one, the name you choose and your recent prayer marks are visible to the other members of that circle — that is the purpose of the feature. Only join a circle with people you are happy to share that with. Leaving the circle removes your entry.

Fair use

Please do not reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, use it to scrape the services it depends on, or use it for anything unlawful.

Availability

The app relies on third-party services for prayer times, Quran text, audio, maps and AI answers. Features may change, pause or be discontinued, and those services can fail or change without notice.

No warranty

Muslim Now is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for missed prayers, inaccurate times or direction, lost data, or any indirect damages arising from use of the app.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one shown on this page and linked from inside the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
